| Full Screen Map A large summit with plenty of room for antennae. However it is geologically and historically sensitive with various agencies "protecting" it, so I would avoid the trig point at busy times and be prepared to be asked to leave. Alternatively activate on a weekday in freezing weather and you will not see many people. Report 1
SK242628 - Room for 4-5 cars at the roadside and there is further parking a bit further south.
From the car go through the gate onto the moor. Follow the track about 150m to a large (15ft high) standing stone (The Cork Stone). Turn left here and head for a large solitary tree. Just before the tree you will see the trig point on your right. Car to trig in under 10 minutes. |
