Full Screen Map Despite the name this summit is a relatively low hill on the edge of Access land. There is plenty of room for HF antennas although the vegetation is quite thick on the ground. The triangulation pillar (TP 2878) provides a good operating point. Although this is Access land the lack of grazing makes walking quite difficult. Report 1
SM89842264 - Room for two cars in this lay-by.
From the parking spot, walk ESE to the road junction and cross the road. The footpath stile is just on the S side. The footpath is poorly defined on the ground but head ENE to the most westerly corner of the access land. Here there is a gate to the Access land, although it is clear that most walkers follow the NE heading fenceline on the field side. Follow the fence and the TP soon comes into view. |
