Full Screen Map The summit and surrounding area is Access Land which can be entered from a ProW. There is lots of room for antennas, which is which for HF as VHF will be limited by higher hills and mountains around it. The summit is largely grass and heather / whinberry with rock outcropping in places. Pleasant views of the Brecon Beacons to the south and the Elenydd to the north. Report 1
SN 9327 5631 - Keep on road until track to farm heads off to the left. There is a gate dead ahead. Parking for 1-2 cars can be had on the left verge immediately before the gate. Do not block the splay on the other side of the road.
From the parking spot continue on foot through the gate and along the track. A woodland is on your right. When the woodland ends look for a quad bike track that heads up the hill to the summit. It can be a little overgrown with bracken in summer. |
