Full Screen Map This is grassy summit but the soil is shallow in places. Plenty of room for HF antennas. The VHF take-off might at first appear to be good, but higher hills are all around and you might find getting out difficult. The hill is all farmland owned by Pen y Graig farm just S of the hill. The farmers are very helpful and a request for access permission is likely to be successful. Report 1
SH81430148 - I was directed to this area of road verge opposite the farm by one of the farmers. I suggest you also follow their guidance.
From the parking spot walk a few metres W along the road and take the track that heads off the road to the NE. After passing through the first field start to cut upwards towards the summit. There are fences to negotiate but plenty of gates and easy ‘step-over’ points. The summit is very obvious. An easy walk. |
